Curt Gowdy State Park Visitor's Center

The Curt Gowdy State Park Visitors Center received LEED Platinum certification. The 8,700 SF building features several environmentally friendly elements including beetle kill framing and T&G decking. “Smart Framing” was integrated in the design to economize the number of studs and reduce the amount of overall framing. The building includes a lobby and exhibit area, a multipurpose room, and staff offices, as well as house public showers for park visitors on the lower level. The project included site improvements, a well for domestic water, and a new septic tank.
